Fire Alarm Technician at Göteborg Energi

Do you want to help keep Göteborg Energi's fire and evacuation alarms in the best possible condition? As a fire alarm technician, you will be an important part of the team that ensures our buildings function as they should.

Your Task

As a fire alarm technician, you are responsible for ensuring that our fire alarms and evacuation alarms work as they should and meet all requirements. You work both preventively and rectively, conducting inspections and tests, supporting the organization in using the systems, and contributing to the development of our facilities. The role involves close contact with facility managers and subcontractors, which requires both technical competence and a good ability to build trusting relationships.

Your responsibilities include:

• Performing service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Addressing faults, replacing system components, updating software, and preventing operational disruptions.
• Conducting regular inspections according to agreements, legal requirements, or standards.
• Conducting evacuation drills, participating in SBA work, performing rounds, and assisting in audits.
• Restoring facilities after operational disruptions and ensuring that functionality and documentation are correct and up to date.
• Supporting the organization in using the systems, identifying improvements, and proposing solutions in projects.
• Participating in documentation work.

Your Team

You will belong to the property management unit within the property department, which is part of the personnel and workplace area. The unit is responsible for the management of Göteborg Energi's owned and leased properties and, on behalf of the organization, property management for facilities for electricity, heating, gas, and cooling production/distribution.

In addition, the unit is also responsible for advanced/complex security systems such as overarching security systems, locks, access control, burglary alarms, fire alarms, and video surveillance systems for the properties.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who takes responsibility and can work independently when needed. You enjoy planning and structuring your work but can also easily adapt when situations change. You feel confident making decisions about actions and executing them correctly based on the requirements and regulations that exist for the organization. You have good collaboration skills and a service-oriented approach, where you build trust through a responsive and cooperative attitude.

You have experience in the installation, service, and troubleshooting of fire alarms and evacuation alarms. You have a good understanding of electrical and low-voltage installations and feel comfortable working with complex systems. It is an advantage if you:

• Have worked with systems such as Schneider, Schrack, Notifier, or similar
• Have a good understanding of networks, IP-based systems, and basic IT troubleshooting.
• Are a certified engineer in fire and evacuation alarms. Alternatively, have a relevant technical background in electrical engineering, automation, IT, or tele/data.

A valid driver's license (B) is required for this position, and you must be able to communicate in Swedish, both spoken and written.
